2006 honda civic review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. All-new lineup sets new standards for compacts. introductionit's hard to find a more competitive new car market than the compact class. And it's more than just price, as the number of entries has skyrocketed in recent years.  honda once led the class, in every measure that mattered, from performance to price to quality to pizzazz. And just as important image-wise, honda led the hot, sport compact niche. With the redesigned, restyled, rejuvenated 2006 honda civic models, the company has returned to the fray with renewed energy.  across the line, there's more power, improved ride and handling, and better people packaging. There are more choices as well: a sporty new civic si coupe, a fully populated tier of coupes and sedans with new engines and transmissions, and a more efficient and effective hybrid sedan. In between there's a sedan listing at $15,560 with the new five-speed automatic. The si starts at $20,290. There are other cars in the class that undercut these figures, but the civic includes important safety features, including antilock brakes and side-impact airbags as standard equipment, that many others leave on the option list. lineuphonda doesn't hold back when it comes to fleshing out a model line. A performance-oriented coupe, the si, comes with a 197-horsepower, 2. 0-liter inline-4 fitted with a six-speed manual. Standard equipment is confined to power windows, tilt-and-telescope steering wheel and height-adjustable driver's seat. Added to the no-extra-charge features on the lx are power moonroof; variable windshield wipers; a second 12-volt power outlet; a 60/40 split folding rear seatback; a seven-speaker, 350-watt, xm-ready, premium stereo with auxiliary input jack and steering wheel-mounted controls; and outside temperature indicator. There are few options available and honda positions its options packages and automatic transmissions as separate models, so for example, there is the civic coupe ex with navigation and automatic transmission 21,010) and the similarly equipped sedan version 20,760).  the si coupe 20,290) comes with all the gear found on the lx coupe plus leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, amber-tinted headlight trim rings and a body-colored rear wing spoiler. The si coupe is available with high-performance summer tires and the navigation system with xm satellite radio 22,240).  the hybrid sedan 22,150) adds to the lx's features automatic climate control, a roof-mounted radio antenna, a rear decklid spoiler, and hybrid-pertinent digital data displays. The hybrid is available with the navigation system 23,650).  dealer accessories include 16-inch alloy wheels 876), chrome exhaust tips 119), and aero-style, exterior body add-ons for the sedan. Honda factory performance packages are available for the si, one for the lx and ex coupes and sedans. The si hfp package includes lowered springs, more tautly tuned shocks, a sports muffler, 18-inch alloy wheels, a full lower-body aero kit and the hfp emblem 3880). The lx and ex hfp package for the coupe 3183) and sedan 3680) substitutes 17-inch alloy wheels, drops the muffler and adds a rear spoiler. Installation costs extra and is set by dealers. walkaroundhonda re-did everything for 2006. Not only are powertrains updated and upgraded, and a new platform developed, but the sheetmetal is new. Not a single body panel is carried over from 2005.  the sedans and coupes don't share any body panels. And trim elements and markings distinguish each iteration.  the platform underneath is new for 2006, seriously strengthened in rigidity, stiffness and crash absorption capacities, with minor adjustments to accommodate the varying dimensions of the coupe and sedan body styles. As part of its campaign to revitalize the civic's appeal to the sport compact market, honda has incorporated reinforced mounting points and gussets to allow suspension and certain other modifications without diminishing body integrity.  from the front, styling differences are subtle, but marked. A polished, horizontal bar dominates the sedan grille. Slender headlamp assemblies angle upwards as they curve around the fenders. A single, broad air intake fills the lower portion of the fascia.  the coupe grille appears more open, with the honda logo suspended on a matte-black framework. An understated badge tucked away in the far right reaches of the grille identifies the sporty si version. The coupe headlights are more sharply outlined. The lower air intake opens between two, geometric recesses that feed cooling air to the front disc brakes and house the optional fog lamps.  the front ends, but especially the coupes', push the leading corners down and outward, emphasizing the 2006's wider track (the distance side to side between the tires), which grows by more than an inch in front and by more than two inches in back over the 2005's.  save for a lower body character line, drawn slightly higher on the coupe than on the sedan, the sides of the new civic are more slab than sensuous. Understated fender blisters, more pronounced on the coupe, break up the otherwise featureless expanse. What excitement there is in the side view is in the sleekness of what honda calls a monoform design. A central expression of this is the windshield, the leading edge of which reaches into the hood all the way to the middle of the front wheel wells, pushing the design concept of 'cab forward' to a new extreme. On the coupe, the windshield is raked at a radical 21. 9 degrees, markedly steeper than the '05's 26. 7 degrees, even exceeding the acura nsx's 23. 9 degrees. And the sedan's matches the nsx's, dropping from the '05's 29. 1 degrees. The sail (the body panel aft of the rear side window) is unique to each model as well. The coupe's forms an acute angle emphasizing the two-door body style, while the sedan's curves down over the rear door's trailing edge, pulling the eye through the higher roofline. The coupe's be-spoilered, rounded rear profile suggests swiftness. The sedan's somewhat abbreviated trunk lid and chopped off tail end adds perceived mass to the tightly proportioned, smallish sedan.  likewise, the rear view of each body style differs markedly. The coupe's sloping trunk lid settles into a deep cut in the rear bumper, with the license plate sheltered in an equally deep recess. The sedan's trunk lid drops in an almost vertical, unrelieved sheer from a relatively high crest across the top, all very bmw-like in presence. interiorif the 2006 civic's exterior is new, the '06's interior borders on shocking. First impression of the instrument arrangement is of a video game. Controls are for the most part where they should be, but not necessarily as they should be. There's little symmetry in organization or shape of features and interfaces. It's not an unpleasant look, but one that requires some acclimation. Ironically, perhaps, the interiors are indistinguishable across the full line, with only minor differences necessitated by the different powertrains.  splayed across the top of the seemingly unending dash in front of the driver is a hooded opening with a digital speedometer between lcd coolant temperature and fuel level gauges. Down below, in the more common place for the instrument panel, in the half circle formed by the top half of the steering wheel, that is, there's a large, round, analog tachometer. To each side of this lower ip are large, irregular vent registers. Centered in the dash above the climate control panel is either an lcd window combining the navigation display and audio settings and, in the hybrid, a selection of graphic depictions of the hybrid system's functions and status or a stereo control head with the pertinent accoutrements. To the right of this squished pod-like arrangement, the dash curves away from the front seat passenger and houses two, more horizontally oriented vent registers, again neither of which matches the other. A wide, but not especially deep glove box rests below a cabin-wide, clam shell-like notch dividing the upper and lower halves of the dash.  there is no center stack to speak of tying together the dash and the drive tunnel.

Iam selling my 2002 honda odyssey just because i don't need it anymore and want to buy a car. It has new brakes pads. It's has new spark plugs and a semi new alternator. It also has brand new $400 tires great for this coming winter. It has 200,000 miles. I am selling it at 3k because of all the parts i put in it but we can come to an agreement with the price.

2010 honda cr-v review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Fresh new looks, with better power, better economy. introductionthe honda cr-v is among the best of the compact suvs and it's hugely popular.  for 2010, honda cr-v boasts significant changes. The 2010 honda cr-v has been re-styled, with a look that's smoother and more confident. The back seats fold perfectly flat and without the holes that can be hazardous to dogs. Built on a unit-body structure, the cr-v is considered a crossover. New for 2010 are a usb audio interface for the stereo, and automatic (on/off) headlights. For crash avoidance there are antilock brakes (which let the driver steer during panic stops); electronic brake-force distribution (which optimizes braking power front-to-rear during emergency stops); brake assist (which senses impending emergency brake application and boosts pedal pressure); vehicle stability assist (honda's electronic stability control system that attempts to minimize skidding in turns); and tire pressure monitors (which warn of dangerous drops in tire pressure). walkaroundthe honda cr-v presents a new face for 2010. The individual changes are all subtle, but they add up visually. Starting from the top and working down, the cut-line between the hood and grille has been moved up to where it's level with the top of the grille opening, rather than reaching down around the opening as before. The upper grille itself has been simplified: the centered honda h-logo remains, but it's now supported by a single, slim chrome blade, in place of last year's heavy-looking chrome double bar. The lower grille has surrendered its horizontal slats in favor of a black honeycomb texture. A piece of bright trim helps define its lower boundary on ex and ex-l models.  below that, the dark-plastic ersatz skid plate remains, but it's been dialed back considerably, leaving room for an actual body-color bumper beneath the lower grille. Funny how the same treatment seems to make the back of the cr-v fussier, albeit only a little. But more than any of the body changes we like the cr-v's new alloy wheels: with their five elegantly slim double spokes, they make the old seven-spoke wheels look downright dowdy by comparison.  if nothing else, the new front end does an even better job of pulling the cr-v's visual mass downwards, reducing its perceived height. Unchanged are the large, sharply angled headlight housings that crowd the upper grille and blend down into the lower air intake. Stout fender flares stretch out to wrap tightly around the tires, giving the new cr-v a sturdy, planted stance.  the side aspect, unchanged except for the new wheels, shows most clearly the cr-v's departure from the more common boxy, mini-suv look. Starting from the gently rounded hood, the relatively fast windshield flows into a roofline that drops ever so slightly as it passes over the sharply tapered glasshouse, ending at the tailgate's top edge, which itself is pulled forward to a point almost directly above the rear wheel well. A strong character line runs from the top of the front wheel well back beneath the full-round door handles to bifurcate the side marker lens of the rear taillight. To us, it looks a little like the mercedes-benz r-class in the overall outline.  above the new rear bumper, the cr-v's hindquarters still present more of the classic suv look, with a trapezoidal backlight bookended by the trademark cr-v high taillights and atop a fairly tall and relatively broad, high-relief tailgate panel. The oversize license plate recess will accommodate almost any country's registration telltale. interiorthe interior of the honda cr-v focuses on function, with a bit of style tossed in to make things interesting. Everything is in its place for the most part, and everything feels the way it should. Quality of materials and fit and finish overall live up to honda's standards.  for 2010, seat fabrics are new, and there's more bright trim for a cheerier atmosphere without overdoing it. Conversely, models with ivory upholstery now come with a darker-colored (read: dirt hiding) carpet. We particularly like honda's subtle re-take of the cr-v's big, upright interior door handles: the upper attachment point now looks like a miniature of the lower one, and in between is a rubberized grip. The center folding armrests are now wider, too.  for 2010, the audio panel features a dual-tone gray/black color scheme with blue backlighting; and the premium stereo gets a usb interface. The multi-information display now appears against a blue background as well, matching the radio. Display functions now include a compass on non-navigation models; with navigation, bluetooth status is displayed.  otherwise the dashboard and instrument cluster remain classic honda, as in, friendly to eye and hand, with the only mildly discordant note the placement of the shift lever, sprouting from a pod suspended from the center of the dash. While neither as ergonomic as a floor-mounted lever nor as natural, in an archaic sort of way, as one mounted on the steering column, it is consistent with the emphasis on flexibility in the front seat area. In the lx and ex, the space between the front seats that might otherwise host a console and floor-mounted shift lever is dedicated to a unique, multi-use tray that when not needed folds down against the side of the passenger seat, opening a walk-through access to the rear seat. The ex-l gets a more traditional, fixed center console, with cup holders and storage space for up to 24 cds. Some of this storage space is lost on ex-l models with navigation, where the console must house the cd changer as well. As if in compensation, a digital audio-card reader is still exclusive to the navigation model.  the front seats seem a little short on thigh support. But to the limited extent the cr-v lends itself to sporty driving, the seatback side bolsters do an adequate job of keeping occupants' upper bodies in place. Not so the seat-bottom bolsters, shaped more for ease of entry and exit than for restraining posteriors. There is, however, a welcome. 2007 honda odyssey review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. Well designed, enjoyable to drive. introductionthe honda odyssey might be the best minivan on the market. It's certainly one of the most enjoyable to drive, and it lives up to honda's reputation for refinement, convenient features and great fit and finish. Its flexible seating system can accommodate up to eight passengers.  all odyssey models are powered by a 244-horsepower v6 engine with a five-speed automatic transmission. The base lx starts at about $26,000 and includes most of the features that make family travel easier. Certain desirable features such as the navigation system or fuel-saving variable cylinder management are included only on the higher-priced models and not available as stand-alone options. The system reports a significant drop in tire pressure with a warning indicator in the instruments and identifies the specific tire. Improvements for 2007 include a telescoping steering wheel and a more convenient coin holder. All are powered by a 244-hp 3. 5-liter v6 with variable valve timing and equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission.  the lx 25,645) comes with manual sliding doors, manual seat controls and manual air conditioning with an air-filtration system. Power door locks with remote keyless entry, power windows, and 60/40 split fold-down rear seats come standard.  the ex 28,695) adds power sliding doors, tri-zone climate control, a storable second-row plusone seat, in-dash cd changer, steering wheel audio controls, power driver seat controls, alloy wheels and other features.  the ex-l 31,095) adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, a power moonroof, and the ivtec engine with variable cylinder management (vcm), which improves fuel economy by de-activating three engine cylinders under certain conditions. It has a slightly stiffer suspension for improved handling and michelin pax run-flat tires. It also gets a 350-watt am/fm/cd6 audio system with seven speakers and a subwoofer, rear park assist, power tailgate, eight-way power adjustable driver's seat with lumbar and memory, power-adjustable pedals, second-row bucket seats, removable second-row console, 17 cupholders, compass and outside temperature display, fog lights, auto-dimming mirror, and the dvd rear-seat entertainment system. The navigation system is extra 39,095).  safety equipment that comes standard on all models includes dual-stage front airbags, front side-impact airbags, curtain-style head protection airbags for all three rows of seats, electronic stability control and anti-lock brakes. walkaroundthe honda odyssey cuts a curvy profile, and its front end looks similar to the accord sedan. Large headlights flank its big grille. The hood is sculpted with curves that lead naturally back to the windshield and emphasize the big fender flares. Honda has not hidden the sliding door channels at the base of the window but left them partially obscured by a crease that runs the length of the vehicle.  all models come with two sliding doors, manually operated on the lx and electrically operated on all other models. The power windows in each of the side doors can be opened in the same fashion as in a car. The power doors seemed a bit reluctant to operate at times, and less responsive to key fob commands than the sliding doors on the toyota sienna.  the odyssey boasts honda's advanced compatibility engineering (ace) body structure. The vehicle's crush zones have been engineered to provide good protection for occupants while minimizing damage in a collision with smaller vehicles and pedestrians. Its body structure is rigid, which contributes to crisp handling and a smooth ride. A low drag coefficient helps improve fuel economy and high-speed stability. interiorinside, the odyssey is both comfortable and convenient. It feels downright luxurious when ordered with leather trim. The soft materials look good and the metallic-colored trim that runs across the center of the dash is attractive.  new for 2007: the honda odyssey is now equipped with a steering wheel that telescopes in addition to tilting. The telescoping wheel adds a welcome element of flexibility in creating a comfortable driving position. There's also a new center pocket coin holder.  the driver's seat is designed to hold the driver firmly and is positioned in a car-like setting. The shift lever is mounted on the dashboard, and while it looks odd at first, it's easier to use than a column-mounted shifter. A handy drink tray is provided between the front seats, but there's no center console. Two glove boxes are provided, which are more awkward for storage than one big one.  the second-row bucket seats are roomy and comfortable.  the third-row seat splits 60/40 and folds easily into the well provided for it, and the headrests do not need to be removed before folding.  a useful storage area is hidden under the middle of the floor, accessible from both the front and middle-row seats. Originally designed to house the spare tire, honda engineers moved the spare tire to a location in the rear. Instead of removing the round space under the floor where the spare used to reside, they've turned it into a hidden storage compartment with a rotating compartmentalized bin, like a lazy susan. A small panel in the floor between the two front seats lets front passengers access the bin while and another panel is provided in front of the second-row seats. Front and middle-row passengers can turn the lazy susan and access whatever is stored inside.  there's room for eight people with the optional plusone seat that fits between the two captain's chairs in the second row. If it's not needed as a seat it can be turned into a table or stowed in the floor in place of the lazy susan bin. If the plusone seat is not being used, the right-hand seat can be slid across to allow easier access to the third-row seats. This flexibility makes the odyssey a versatile people hauler, and with the seats folded (a fairly easy task) there's more cargo space than in most suvs.  the optional navigation system is one of the easiest to operate using its on-screen menus and includes zagat restaurant data. The large eight-inch monitor is positioned high on the dashboard for easy viewing. The system also responds to voice commands, and we found it responds effectively. It's capable of responding to 637 different voice commands and is smart enough to understand different accents and find locations without any need for input other than by voice. Apart from navigation, the system can be used to operate the radio and climate controls. The rearview camera makes parallel parking easier and also functions as a safety feature: by displaying what's behind the car on the navigation screen, it can show the driver unseen hazards such as a small child possibly preventing a tragic accident. We find rearview cameras very useful in crowded shopping center parking lots where people are walking behind the car after we've shifted into reverse.  the available dvd entertainment system features a large nine-inch widescreen display that folds out of the ceiling for viewing by second-row passengers. The wireless headsets turn on and off automatically as the ear pads are rotated. driving impressionhonda's goal with odyssey was producing a minivan with the handling of a european sedan, and it hasn't missed the mark by much. We found it pleasant around town or for long drives.  during a test drive along country roads near the honda factory in alabama, the odyssey offered a perfectly pleasant ride. It was neither too firm nor too soft. Granted, there is some road vibration. It was no worse than in a chrysler town & country, however, and it's a common trait of many large cars and most suvs. All in all, the honda odyssey is a good vehicle for a long-distance drive.  a few laps around a race track showed the odyssey to be stable at high speeds. We were surprised how much we could chuck it into corners. We could drive hard enough into a sharp corner to feel the tires slip without any drama. We could not feel much body roll (lean) in corners, and an odyssey lapping in front of us looked remarkably stable for a tall vehicle.  parking is easy. The turning radius is among th.

And with six cupholders in the second row alone, eight door cargo pockets and the ability to carry a 4x8-foot sheet of building material flat inside, finding a place for everything isn't an issue.  Underway, we found the Pilot a well balanced vehicle with nice road manners, with sufficient power and brakes, decent ride q.
